The City of Everett
Emergency Communication Center
Introduction to the Challenge
The Everett Police Department's Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) is located just 3 miles outside of Boston and is a busy Communications Center, handling numerous calls throughout the day. The challenge was providing Continuing Education opportunities that fit into the busy schedules of dispatchers while ensuring they received high-quality training. Traditional in-person classes often conflicted with shift schedules and personal commitments, making it difficult for dispatchers to stay up-to-date with their education requirements.
Enhancing Community Service
Equature's online training platform has proven to be highly effective for the Everett Police Department's dispatchers. The flexibility of online classes allows dispatchers to complete their training at their own pace, fitting it into their schedules without disrupting their work or personal lives. The engaging and informative content provided by Equature's instructors ensures that dispatchers remain interested and invested in their learning. Equature's training modules are trusted and easily accessible from any location, ensuring that PSAP personnel can continually improve their skills and knowledge. This accessibility and trustworthiness make Equature a preferred choice for Continuing Education among Everett PD's dispatchers.
